Although President Trump’s statement about trying to get to heaven in preventing/ending war, (in other words, by his deeds), may have been an attempt at humor – the truth remains that the world has enough false witness. I pray Trump comes to know that it is our faith in Jesus Christ that gets us into heaven, and in our love and obedience to Him and His great Word, should be followed by good works.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and [a]this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB)
